Becton Dickinson is a world leading multi billion dollar medical equipment manufacturer, supplying essential equipment to hospitals and surgeries all over the world. Due to their vast catalogue of products and complex sales engagement channels, BD had a business challenge to simplify their sales team experience and ensure they could make the most of every conversation with their customers. They approached Voodoo Park to create a digital sales enablement capability which would integrate product information from their extensive catalogues, their marketing teams, and Salesforce, their main CRM tool.
Voodoo Park built a tablet app which incorporated four separate sales aid apps into a single unified user experience. The app works both on and offline and is driven by a custom built CMS system constructed by Voodoo Park. Content on the apps can be updated and distributed almost instantaneously when needed. The app links with Salesforce, logs customer contact information, generates follow-up emails and it tracks any specific notes that are made by the sales agents. This is all integrated back up into BD’s Salesforce platform, allowing them much greater visibility and control over their sales pipeline. As BD is also a multinational company, all communication and sales material must be compliant with the laws and legalities within the industry in any given territory. Voodoo Park adhered to this by translating the app into 14 different languages and tailoring it to individual country’s regulations and laws.
As a result of the success of the app, BD’s sales agents are now able to focus on building stronger relationships with the clients they already have and also reaching out to new potential clients across countries and markets. Voodoo Park have empowered sales agents within BD to become more confident when selling products as they can rest assured that the information they are relaying is accurate and up-to-date.
