GamesGRABR was the first company to use Voodoo Park’s GRABR platform. The client wanted to build a social network that was designed around the curation of game content, which allowed gamers across the globe to socialise about the games they loved and discover their new favourite ones. The sole aim of the project was to create a social networking site that was a unique mix of Pinterest and Tumblr, which focused exclusively on games and also included an e-commerce element.
The core phase of the project was to build a minimal viable product, which was completed within three months. Users could create a profile, log on and begin building collections of their favourite games as well as being able to add and personalise content. Voodoo Park then advised GamesGRABR on how to develop their platform even further, starting with adding a comments section, which allowed users to share thoughts, tips and tricks with each other on games within their collections. To give the platform greater depth, Voodoo Park helped GamesGRABR to create a dynamic product page, which executed the e-commerce requirement of the project. To further GamesGRABR’s insight, they used SoniQ to analyse all of the data points for every user, this enabled them to carry out targeted email campaigns, which resulted in a 15x increase in open rates and click through rates rose from 1.5% to 22.5%
Voodoo Park built a stunningly designed, stable website which made use of our social GRABR tool. The platform enticed gamers to come together as a welcoming community and share content they like about the games they love. By adding a gamification mechanism to the website, it made users feel empowered about every action they took and rewarded them for those actions, making them feel as if they were almost playing a game, just by making proper use of the site. GamesGRABR approached YouTubers and asked them to create collections on the platform, which enabled users to share a community with them while get gaming insight from their favourite celebrities.
