The Customer:

The Negotiation Society is a global community and digital platform established by The Gap Partnership, the world’s leading negotiation consultancy. With access to the latest negotiation tools and insights, members have the resources required to develop and embed their skills so they can optimise the value of every deal they make.

Project Summary:

To build a multi-faceted web platform for the world's leading negotiation business in order to digitalise their offering to their end users and increase their visibility in the global market.

Overview:

Historically TNS used face to face training offerings, surveys, and customer assessments. They wanted to take their suite of products and services online to be more accessible and to grow in the global market. It was also the ambition to enable corporate bundles to be delivered for multiple users.  This would lead to an overall increase in sales.

Challenges:

We needed to take the customer on a journey with us regarding technical delivery. We used an agile framework and delivered in sprints using parallel teams. This was a new concept to the partner and a different approach to their usual waterfall style. We were working with multiple partners which became a challenge in terms of ownership. To alleviate this, we became the Single Point Of Contact for the project to ensure a clear and smooth coordination of the delivery.

Solution:

We chose .NET as the main development language as this fitted well with existing technology the customer had. We needed to provide a site with multiple disciplines and areas for the end user such as a live financial tracking tool for negotiations, profiler for the client, training material, continuous content and all multi language for global reach. This was all achieved using a modular approach that allowed us to scale development teams and speed up delivery

Outcome:

We followed our internal framework to deliver on time and to budget. By carefully managing change throughout the project and becoming Single Point Of Contact across the partners, we achieved an exceptional level of quality. We are now officially the technical partner for the design company we partnered with and work on all their technical builds across several projects. We supply all ongoing support and development through a Parallel team.
